Wednesday of Holy Week

Dear Family of Mary!

Today was a particularly cold and wet spring day in Indiana.  My joints ached and I couldn't stop yawning, even during the internet Rosary this morning.  As I began journaling, I couldn't help mentioning how old and tired I felt to the Lord.  

I told Him: I am growing old, getting gray and weak, just old!!

He responded: Yes, you are wearing out!

That's it, Jesus, I am wearing out!

It's ok... it is the way of all living things, to wear out.  It is part of the Father's mercy that your lives are so short.  No matter the trouble, it will pass.  You do not have to live forever in this world. Imagine what it would be like if you lived for thousands of years, battling sin and evil, etc.  Not such a nice thought!   But, no, you have a short life and then you fall asleep and come to be with us in Heaven.  Even if you pass through Purgatory, it is only for a short time, and then all is well forever!

Immediately my thoughts went to those who do not choose Heaven, those who despair and choose evil.  I asked the Lord about the despairing.  

He responded: That was where I was leading you.  After this short life, some choose hell.  They choose anger or disbelief, pride, envy, they reject me in their despair, blaming me for the pain and turning away.  These are the ones in hell.  There are some who despair of life, not of me, but of life.  They choose to die because even this short life is too brutal for them.  They will come to me through Pur

gatory because they lost faith in life, not in me.

I asked how I could help. 

 He seemed to reply: Pray for those who choose hell, that at the moment of death they will have even the smallest "pinhole" through which my light can shine into their hearts.  (Jesus was referring to something I had just heard in my prayer group, when one of the women had the picture of a black wall, completely black, but there was a tiny hole in it through which light was shining.  She had felt that even the blackest soul can have a tiny hole through which grace can pass.)  They have suffered in life and blame me for it, hence their anger.  I long to show them my love.  Some have become totally evil.  They will not change.  But most have a little place of hope somewhere.

After I finished journaling, I chose a message from my box of messages and received this one: 

"Dear children!  Again today I call you to consecrate your life to me with love, so I am able to guide you with love.  I love you, dear children, with a special love and I desire to bring you all to Heaven unto God.  I want you to realize that this life lasts briefly compared to the one in Heaven.  Therefore, dear children, decide again today for God. Only that way will I be able to show how much you are dear to me and how much I desire all to be saved and to be with me in Heaven.  Thank you for having responded to my call." (November 27, 1986)

Our Lady, like her Son, longs for us to be with her in heaven.  She sees how short our lives are. And she wants her love (which is God's love shining through her) to shine on us, to help us to choose God and heaven!  Every one of us!  Even the despairing!  Let's pray that every pin hole in every soul is flooded with God's light, God's love, this weekend.  Jesus is dying for just that purpose!
