As Pope Benedict XVI prepares for his visit to Germany Sept. 22-25, the secular press is setting the stage for an epic showdown not only between Catholicism and secularists, but between Catholicism and the secularity that has increasingly invaded not only Christianity but the Catholic Church itself.

According to Reuters' Paris-based Religion Editor Tom Heneghan. "When Pope Benedict visits his native Germany later this week, the anarchists, gays and radicals planning to protest against his presence should be the least of his worries. His toughest critics come from the ranks of fellow German Christians."
