4th Sunday of Advent

O Adonai, and Leader of the house of Israel, you appeared to Moses in the flame of the burning bush and gave him the law on Sinai: come, and with an outstretched arm, redeem us. (Traditional "O" Antiphon)

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Today I am with you in a special way, holding little Jesus in my lap and I invite you, little children, to open yourselves to His call. He calls you to joy. Little children, joyfully live the messages of the Gospel, which I am repeating in the time since I am with you. Little children, I am your Mother and I desire to reveal to you the God of love and the God of peace. I do not desire for your life to be in sadness but that it be realized in joy for eternity, according to the Gospel. Only in this way will your life have meaning. Thank you for having responded to my call." (December 25, 1996)

In the "O" Antiphon for today, we remember that God appeared to Moses in the fiery bush. This was an apparition! And God gave Moses the law, the teachings that would lead the people of Israel to the Promised Land and help them to build a society based on God Himself. This apparition of God to Moses changed everything for the Israelites.

Today, the visionaries experience apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Though she is not God, she comes from heaven with messages for us, messages which teach us the way to build a society based on God! Her messages bring us back to the beauty of the Revelation of God through Jesus Christ. Read again what she tells us in the message above: "Little children, joyfully live the messages of the Gospel, which I am repeating in the time since I am with you. Little children, I am your Mother and I desire to reveal to you the God of love and the God of peace. I do not desire for your life to be in sadness but that it be realized in joy for eternity, according to the Gospel. Only in this way will your life have meaning." We are being called to live the Gospel of joy!!!

May we prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus, and renew our commitment to live our lives completely for, with, and in Him. Jesus calls us to joy!

Christmas Novena Prayer:

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary at midnight in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of my Savior, Jesus Christ and of his blessed Mother. Amen

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
