Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! In this time of grace I call you to take the cross of my beloved Son Jesus in your hands and to meditate on His passion and death. May your suffering be united in His suffering and love will win, because He who is love gave Himself out of love to save each of you. Pray, pray, pray until love and peace begin to reign in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call." (March 25, 2013)

This is Holy Week. On Thursday we will begin the Holy Triduum. Our Holy Triduum Liturgy will draw us into the events of Christ's Passion. We will witness the depths of Christ's love for us, as He institutes the Eucharist on Holy Thursday. We will walk the Way of the Cross, and watch with John and Mother Mary as Jesus dies for us on Calvary on Good Friday. We will accompany Jesus' body to the tomb, and experience the silence of death on Holy Saturday. And then in the darkness of the night, the Light of Christ will shine out upon us, as Christ rises from the dead to Easter Glory. These are the Highest and Holiest of days!

In this message, Our Lady gives us a simple rule to follow as we live these days. She tells us to take the cross of Jesus in our hands and meditate on His passion and death. She advises us to unite our suffering with Jesus' suffering. From now until Easter Sunday, we can follow these simple directions. We can take a cross, any cross, and hold it tight. We can hold on to the cross as if we are holding on to Jesus Himself. We can hold that cross and keep it close to us at all times. And we can unite every suffering in our life to Jesus' suffering, depicted on the cross. Just hold on and unite with Christ. Simple.

We won't need words. Our hearts are enough. If we do as Our Lady asks, the meditation will be from our heart, natural and pure. We will be one with Jesus. Through our little sufferings united to His, we can be part of what Jesus is doing this week. It will not be hard, it will be natural.

Love will win! Love will win! In our lives, our relationships, our memories, our pasts, love will win. Forgiveness will win. Reconciliation will win. Joy will win! If we just hold on, and stay close to Jesus on the cross these days, love will win!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
