Current Prayer Program: "Ask for a Sign"

For this month, June 2014, we asked at the beginning of the month that those devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of America and desirous of the United States Catholic Bishops completing the Solemn Procession into the National Shrine of The Immaculate Conception at Washington, D.C. as requested by Our Lady join in the following prayer intention:

That The Holy Trinity through the intercession of Our Lady of America, The Immaculate Virgin Mary, will grant that, and we now ask that, special (miraculous, if necessary) signs be given and shown by the Feasts of The Sacred Heart of Jesus and of The Immaculate Heart of Mary, June 27 & 28, 2014, to Catholic bishops so as to enhance the valid findings of authenticity by Archbishop Paul Francis Leibold of this devotion [as described by Sister Mary Ephrem (Mildred Neuzil), C.PP.S.] such that the United States Catholic Bishops, and both The Holy See and Pope Francis, embrace and endorse Our Lady of America as a private revelation given with supernaturality.

We have suggested that one may wish this June, daily for these intentions, to pray The Rosary and make a daily Visit to The Blessed Sacrament for at least 15 minutes.

Update on the Devotion and the Litigation

Perhaps you have viewed and listened to the videos on www.ourladyofamerica.org . The litigation concerning the copyright and trademark issues and ownership of various devotionals is winding down since the jury verdict rendered late this past Winter and the United States District Court entered its initial judgment decree on March 19, 2014. McCarthy, Langenskamp and the BVM Foundation, Inc. (together, the "Plaintiffs") have subsequently pursued certain post-trial motions, including a request for a declaratory judgment on the freedom of devotionals from intellectual property claims of Patricia Ann Fuller (dismissed from consecrated religious life by The Holy See in August 1982 for incorrigible disobedience).

Also, the Plaintiffs are seeking a permanent injunction against the Defendants' defamation. The Jury in the Federal District Court at Indianapolis found for the Plaintiffs on both copyright and trademark, as well as our defamation claims (primarily against the internet defamation by one Paul M. Hartman acting on behalf of Patricia Ann Fuller). We are hopeful, with the prayers of many, that the Judge will conclude the trial court litigation by entering orders favorable to the Plaintiffs and to the devotion by early July---a few weeks hence.

With regard to the solemn procession of the Our Lady of America statue in the National Shrine of The Immaculate Conception at Washington, you can refer to the request of Our Lady of America made in the description by Sister Mary Ephrem (Mildred Neuzil), C.PP.S. of the message given by Our Lady of America on November 15, 1956:

"On the morning of November 15, 1956, Our Lady taught me this little prayer: 'By thy Holy and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, deliver us from evil.'

Our Lady then asked me to draw a picture of her first appearance. She also requested a statue made according to this likeness and placed, after being solemnly carried in procession, in the Shrine of The Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. She wishes to be honored there in a special way as Our Lady of America, the Immaculate Virgin."

It is our understanding that the United States Catholic bishops interested in advancing this devotion and the solemn procession await the final outcome of the civil secular case, McCarthy et al. v. Fuller et al. before any decision about this procession. If the United States District Judge decides all of the outstanding post-trial issues in July, then the time for an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals at Chicago would occur sometime in August 2014. Whenever those deadlines pass completely, (and we plan to keep interested persons advised by newsletter from www.ourladyofamerica.org), then we expect the United States Catholic bishops (and even The Holy See) to become more engaged in the matter of this devotion to Our Lady of America, The Immaculate Virgin, and, please God, to set the date for the requested solemn procession and otherwise to endorse and actively to promote Her under this title.

Whenever that may occur, it certainly seems that the United States Catholic Bishops will provide considerable advance notice such that Christian faithful will have the opportunity to plan to attend. Until the United States Catholic bishops consider, approve and advance both the solemn procession and the devotion itself, we currently do not expect statues to become more available. Whenever we might make Our Lady of America statues available, the internet site would indicate that. Pending statues being more available, you can download the image from here.

We have such a good response to this program by interested persons organizing overnight Vigils before The Most Blessed Sacrament to pray for the United States Bishops generally and for their own local Bishops in particular that we expect to continue this current program throughout the Month of July 2014, The Month of The Most Precious Blood of Jesus. In this regard, you may wish to know that the Association of The Precious Blood has recently had some communications which emphasize the importance of the virtue of Purity.

Keep in mind that The Immaculate is the immediate human source of The Most Precious Blood of Her Divine Son, Jesus!

Please see the Last Newsletter. Thank you!

"By Your Holy and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, deliver us from evil."
