Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children...You, my apostles, who with your love, humility and silence of prayer are making it possible for one to come to know my Son....You live in me. You carry me in your heart..." (March 2, 2015)
God has sent Our Lady in these days to gather her children under her mantle and lead us to heaven. "God sent me to lead you toward eternal life."(October 25, 2006) Our
Lady has been forming us through her messages with the virtues we need
to follow her. But she has not only formed us so that we can follow her,
she has actually prepared us to live in her and carry her in our
hearts. We do this because silent prayer, humility and love have made us
ready to welcome her in our hearts.
I
am seeing again, during this pilgrimage evidence of this transformation
in the pilgrims and parishioners here in Medjugorje. The prayer of
silence is everywhere. In the church, outside on the benches in the
cold, on the hillside at the Blue Cross, at the Risen Christ Statue,
everywhere you look there is the prayer of silence.
And humility shines on the faces of many!
But love is the brightest light of all!
I
am soaking it up these days, and really it makes you not want to leave.
This is the witness that makes it possible for others to come to know
Jesus. Thank you, Mother, for coming to Medjugorje.

Denis, Tom and Mary and I are enjoying the International Leaders
Retreat. There was a group picture yesterday which gives you an idea of
how many people are attending! And Ivan took a close-up of Denis, Mary
and me in the midst of the group!
We
are learning so much. Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti spoke with us. She
encouraged us with stories of God's providence in her life in the early
days.
She
told us that when she was still a girl, Archbishop Frane Franic from
Split came to visit her at her house. She had just discovered that they
were out for sugar for their tea, and she was worried about offering him
tea with no sugar. But just as the tea was prepared, a hand came
through the window with two pounds of sugar! She said this always
happened, because Our Lady was teaching them to trust. It is a good
lesson for all of us!
